Switching to Substack!

Hello, everyone!

For all who see this, I’m planning on shifting my blog over to Substack, which is a kind of social media for writers / blogging platform. WordPress (through which I created this website) has been a wonderful place to begin blogging, but I’ve been persuaded recently (mostly due to Substack’s versatility, popularity, and free usage) to make the transition—it just makes the most sense.

If you were to take a look at my Substack account, you’d notice some posts in common with what I’ve posted on here, as I’ve attempted to balance sharing content on both. That said, it takes too much time to write all the content, engage with people across platforms, and fit each post according to respective website configurations; especially on top of the work I’m doing outside of this. For that reason, I’ve decided to go ahead and concentrate my attention on Substack. Hopefully this will allow me to post more consistently, put out new forms of content, and engage more meaningfully with those who subscribe to my account there.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll start the process of incrementally moving over old essays and material that I would like to have on my Substack account. If you haven’t yet read them, please do! Or if you have, feel free to wait until new essays, stories, and poetry start coming around in a week or two. Some of the older content has possibly become outdated in part as my views have matured in subtle but meaningful ways since I started this journey about a year and a half ago.

In light of all this, you can find me on Substack @thewayfayer and under my name, Bo Simpson! I hope to see you all there.

You can find Substack by looking it up on any search platform or downloading it on the App Store. Like I said, it’s free to use, and I would bet that you’ll find the platform both useful and engaging with all the different kinds of content available there. I know many great writers/bloggers who make a point to weigh in on important issues relevant to the times through Substack.

(FYI, I do still have this subscription for another several months, so while some content may still make its way on here, I nevertheless intend to make Substack my primary blogging platform.)

Cheers!
