I remember childhood: A Poem

Do you remember life before the internet?

If a child makes a far-out faith

look simple,

Seeing the visions of a world

unseen,

Looking at the world with wonder

and clairvoyance,

Knowing of a world yet to come and

yet unknown,

Can they see the pains of aching adulthood,

Or grasp the depths of hearts and

minds developed?

In those little bodies maybe

minds are ready,

Spirits more prevailing in the

ocean of consciousness,

Or the cosmos of the

dreaming subliminal.

We stare out of bodies once

small now grown,

Wishing against fate to return

once more,

To the spirit of far more than

stifled grown-ness,

Lost in our bodies and minds

when those

Little ones may carry the most of

life’s offering.
